Hit 10,000 parts without a single scrap part today

I've been running this old Haas VF-2 for about 3 years now and just realized I crossed 10,000 parts off it without scrapping a single one. Last Monday I was doing a batch of 500 aluminum brackets for a local shop in Cincinnati and a thought popped into my head like wait have I ever messed one up on this machine. I checked my job log and sure enough every single part passed inspection. I think a lot of it comes down to being super careful with offsets and always dry running the first piece before letting it rip. But man 10,000 is a round number that really hit me. Has anyone else ever tracked their scrap rate like that or am I just weird about keeping logs?

Did you at least buy yourself a beer or something after noticing that... I would've celebrated with a pizza and probably jinxed myself on the next run.

Got a cold one from the fridge but honestly I didn't want to jinx anything either. Pizza seems like a big celebration for just one successful test run, too much risk of bad luck creeping in on the next one. I usually wait until a whole project is done and shipped before I treat myself to something nice. Playing it safe and superstitious keeps my runs consistent, at least in my head. Plus if I celebrate early and mess up later I just feel twice as dumb about it.
