My little brother told me I was playing with my G.I. Joes wrong for 10 years because I never used the rubber bands to hold their weapons.
He finally showed me how to loop the weapon strap through their hands and now I actually hit the bad guys for once, has anyone else missed some obvious toy feature for way too long?

Dude I had the exact same thing happen with my M.A.S.K. vehicles from the 80s. I spent like two years just shoving the figures in the driver's seat and then wondering why they kept falling out during my epic driveway battles. It wasn't until my cousin visited from out of town that he showed me the little peg holes on their feet that clicked into the floorboard. Suddenly my vehicles actually had drivers that stayed put. I felt so dumb but also so relieved it wasn't just me.

Wait, were the pegs on the bottom of the figures themselves or was it like a peg hole in the vehicle floor that the foot slid into? I never had M.A.S.K. stuff so I'm trying to picture how that clicked.
