My power stretcher head snapped mid job this morning in a 4000 square foot house.
Happened around 10am. I was stretching a room and the head just gave out. Old model, had it for years, but still. Had to borrow one from a buddy to finish the job. Anyone else had a tool fail at the worst possible time?

Real talk though has anyone figured out if the newer model heads are actually stronger or just cheaper made than the old ones? I've been nervous about upgrading since my old one lasted so long.

Dude that SUCKS. Same thing happened to me last year in the middle of a 5000 square foot house with a customer standing right there watching. The head just snapped clean off like it was nothing. Old Crain model I'd had since 2010. Worst part was I had to drive 45 minutes to the supply house and back while the customer just sat there waiting. Borrowed a buddy's stretcher for the rest of the job and bought a new one that same night. That feeling when the tool gives out on you in a big house is the absolute WORST.
