Just saw how big a deal seam sealing is for homes with pets
It keeps spills from going down and wrecking the padding.

Oh man, tell me about it. We got it done last year after our new puppy had a couple accidents (you know how it goes). That was bad enough, but our old dog slops half his water bowl onto the floor every single day. Before the sealing, you could see a dark spot starting in the padding under the laminate. It totally saved us from having to replace a whole section.

Disagree, sealing just delays the problem. Moisture still gets trapped and warps the boards from underneath.

Man, always thought that stuff was pointless, but seeing my buddy's place after his dog kept spilling water... yeah, it makes a real difference.

Dealt with a sealed floor in my kitchen after a leak. The water seeped under the edges and soaked the subfloor. Even though the top was sealed, the boards underneath swelled up. We had to tear everything out to fix the mold. Sealing just gives a false sense of security. What do you do when moisture gets trapped like that?
