Switched from paper resumes to digital portfolios and finally got callbacks.

For 6 months I was sending out paper resumes for graphic design jobs in Portland and getting zero replies. Then a hiring manager told me, "Nobody looks at paper anymore, show me your actual work." Has anyone else made a similar shift and seen better results?

Lol "show me your actual work" is exactly what someone said to me too. I spent like 3 months sending out these fancy paper portfolios for video editing gigs and got nothing. A friend finally told me nobody cares about printed stuff anymore, they want to see you can actually do the job. So I threw together a quick website with some clips and got a callback within a week. It's wild how much it matters. People just wanna see proof.
