inThe community garden behind the old laundromat had something odd growing
My neighbor's dog actually ate a couple of those berries last spring, totally my fault for not keeping him leashed near the lot, and he was fine but threw up all over my rug (thanks, pup). @logan632 nailed it with the wild climbing nightshade ID, I dug some out from behind my shed and it came back within two weeks like it was mocking me. Guess I'm just living proof that ignoring invasive plants is a bad plan, ha.

inRemember when we used to rebuild injectors by feel, not software?
@patking, my truck just gives me that look every time I hit a pothole, nothing more.

inTIL I was overcomplicating chili by browning meat separately
My 2016 Toyota Camry was doing this weird shudder when I hit 45 mph exactly. I took it to a shop, they wanted $400 to replace a torque converter. I was like nah, and found a YouTube video where a guy fixed it by cleaning his MAF sensor and throttle body. Cost me like $12 for a can of cleaner and took 20 minutes. Car ran perfectly after that. Idk if it's the exact same issue but it sounds pretty similar. Worth checking out before dropping serious money.

inOld timer taught me something about pump packing I'll never forget
So he told you to back it off a quarter turn but did he say anything about how tight is too tight before you start getting leaks? I've had old guys give me that same line about packing needing to breathe but nobody ever showed me the actual sweet spot.

inHot take: I used to think stud finders were useless. Now I won't touch a wall without one.
Did you ever figure out why you thought stud finders were useless in the first place? I feel like a lot of guys get burned by cheap, inaccurate ones that beep for no reason, then swear off them forever. My first stud finder was a piece of junk that went off on old wiring, so I get the frustration. But a halfway decent one really does save you from patching drywall and re-hanging stuff.
