People keep skipping the salary talk until the very end of interviews
I've seen three friends get lowballed this month because they waited for the company to bring up pay. My buddy in Denver took a job and found out later the range started 15k higher. When do you bring it up without seeming pushy?

Watched my friend lose weeks to interviews only to find the pay was a joke. She brings it up right after the first real talk now, like @stone.victor said, before the logo puzzles start. Saves everyone time and filters out the lowballers fast.

So what's the actual line you use to ask? Just straight up "what's the pay range for this role" in that first chat?
