My $200 tent failed after 3 rainy nights in Colorado

I bought a budget tent from a big box store last spring for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Third night out near Estes Park, the seams started leaking and I woke up in a puddle at 4am. Lost about $200 on that thing since the return window was up. Anybody had better luck with cheap tents holding up in wet weather?

Awake in a puddle at 4am" pretty much sums up why I stick with my old Walmart tent from 2015. That thing has seen more rain than Seattle and still doesn't leak. Guess I got lucky.
