A bujo doodle brought up a big privacy issue with my buddy
I was working on my bullet journal, drawing out my weekly spread. I added a small sketch of a chat I had with a friend, just a visual reminder. Later, I posted a photo of the page online, as I often do. My friend saw it and got really upset because the sketch hinted at something personal they told me in private. Now I'm stuck thinking about where to draw the line between sharing my journal art and respecting their privacy. It's a gray area because my bujo is for me, but once it's on the internet, it's public. I notice many people share their journals without a care, but this situation made me pause. Maybe we should think twice about what we post, lol.

You know, I always figured a journal was a personal thing to share freely. A similar thing happened to me, and it really flipped my view. Now I blur out any words or details that aren't only about me before posting. It's your art, but their trust is on the page too, right? Where does your friend's privacy stop and your sharing begin?

Wow, I had a similar thing happen with my old journal posts. Honestly, it felt awful when a friend saw their private stuff I'd written about. Tbh, I now treat any mention of others like it's not mine to share. I either leave those parts out or change the names so no one can tell. It's just basic respect, you know? Their trust is way more important than my need to post.

Man, this hits on something I see all the time now. We're all so used to sharing our own lives online that we forget our stories are tangled up with other people's. It's like we treat real people in our memories as just characters in our personal show. That line between your story and their privacy gets real blurry when you just hit post. Gotta step back and ask if you'd be okay with someone sharing that much about you.
