Why does nobody talk about meal planning falling apart when life gets crazy?
So I was trying to stick to my $50 weekly grocery budget, had everything mapped out for three days of beans and rice meals. Then my kid got sick Tuesday morning and I spent the whole day at urgent care instead of home cooking. By dinner time I was starving and grabbed a $12 takeout burger combo from a place near the hospital. That one blowout basically ate up a quarter of my weekly food money in one sitting. I ended up scrambling to stretch the rest of the week with just eggs and canned veggies. Now I'm wondering if it's even worth planning so tight when unexpected stuff always messes it up. Does anyone else struggle with keeping your budget meals on track when real life hits?

That burger combo story is painfully relatable.

Same thing happened to me last week. They swapped my fries for a side salad and I didn't notice until I got home.

Honestly the same exact thing happened to me like two weeks ago. I ordered a double cheeseburger combo and they gave me a chicken sandwich instead with no fries, just a sad little apple sauce cup. @the_drew you're not alone in that, I ate the cold apple sauce in my car and just stared at the bag thinking about my life choices. Ngl it really makes you wonder how many people just accept the wrong order without checking.
