TIL I was overcomplicating chili by browning meat separately
I always thought you had to brown ground beef in a separate pan, drain it, then add it to the pot. My grandma did it that way, my mom too. Last month I was short on time and just dumped raw beef right into the pot with onions and beans. Stirred it around until it cooked through. Took maybe 10 minutes less and the texture was actually better. Anyone else do it this way or am I missing something?

My 2016 Toyota Camry was doing this weird shudder when I hit 45 mph exactly. I took it to a shop, they wanted $400 to replace a torque converter. I was like nah, and found a YouTube video where a guy fixed it by cleaning his MAF sensor and throttle body. Cost me like $12 for a can of cleaner and took 20 minutes. Car ran perfectly after that. Idk if it's the exact same issue but it sounds pretty similar. Worth checking out before dropping serious money.

Feel for you man, that's a tough spot to be in when a shop throws a big number at you like that. Props for not just bending over and paying it, so many people would have dropped the cash without even thinking. Hope it works out the same way for you as it did for me.
