inStopping my rush to finish panel setups changed how clients see my work.
Actually, a confused look sometimes means they're really paying attention, not that you failed. Your story about the dog, @west.jade, kinda shows they were trying to get it. That deeper focus builds way more trust long term.

inVent: I'm sure fancy diagnostic tools are hurting our skills
Completely agree, and @kevin179 pointing out that trade magazine article is spot on. It's like we're training ourselves to trust a screen more than our own senses, which is backwards. Starting with a physical check sounds like the only sane way to work now. Those false leads from the gadgets can eat up a whole morning chasing nothing. The hands-on feel for a machine's rhythm and sound just can't be replaced by a scanner reading.

inShowerthought: My home salon lighting fix proves clients skip over pricey decor
Wait, isn't it wild how often we miss the simple fix? People will buy a whole new fancy chair trying to make a room feel better, but a harsh overhead light just kills the vibe completely. So what makes everyone jump straight to buying more stuff instead of checking the actual lighting? Like, have you ever walked into a room that looked amazing online but felt totally different and kinda bad in person? That's probably the bulbs, not the couch.
