My vertical herb wall turned into a bug buffet overnight

Put so much effort into building that thing. Used good soil and everything. Woke up to see aphids covering the basil. Tried soapy water but they came back. Now I just stare at it and sigh.

Heard somewhere that introducing ladybugs can help. They're natural predators for aphids and might clean that up.

Wait, are you serious about ladybugs eating aphids? That sounds like a kids' story... I saw a few aphids on my roses last week and those things are tiny. The ladybug I watched just sat there. The idea that one bug eats thousands is hard to believe. I don't know if I buy that cleaning everything up.
