I thought that new heat wrap was just a gimmick until a job in Gary

The foreman insisted we try it on a tricky steam line, and it cut our setup time by a solid hour. Anyone else find a tool they doubted that actually worked?

Wasn't there a whole thing in a trade mag about those new magnetic socket holders? I always figured they'd just drop the sockets all the time... but the article showed a guy working on a ladder over a grating, and he said it saved his butt from losing parts into the machinery below. Made me rethink writing stuff off before I see it in action.

Oh man, totally get what you mean. I was skeptical too until I dropped a 10mm socket into a muddy ditch last year and spent an hour digging for it. Bought a magnetic holder the next day for like 15 bucks. Now I use it all the time when I'm on a rollback or working over any kind of drop-off. Honestly, it's saved me more than a few times, especially when you're in a tight spot and can't afford to lose a part.

That one story about the guy on the ladder sold me on them too.
