Vent: That random guy at the game cafe told me my deck building was "too safe"
So I was at this little board game cafe in Austin last Saturday, right? I was testing out my custom deck for a Dominion tournament I got coming up next month. This dude I never met before just walks over, watches me play one round, and goes "your deck is way too safe, you need more risk." I was kinda annoyed at first because I spent like 4 hours tweaking it. But then I actually tried his advice and swapped out three of my silver cards for some of those high-cost action cards I always skip. Now I'm winning like 70% of my practice games against my buddy Frank. Has anyone else had a stranger at a game night totally change how you play something?

Honestly, I wouldn't stress about it too much. The dude was just some random guy at a cafe, not a pro coach or anything.
Ngl, it sounds like a fluke more than anything. Probably just got lucky with those swaps.
Tbh, a 70% win rate against Frank isn't exactly crushing the competition. Let's see how it holds up in the actual tournament.
