Spoiler alerts at work: helpful or a buzzkill for show discussions?

I've been in a bunch of chats with coworkers about our latest binge shows. One side says spoilers are the worst thing ever, like when my buddy accidentally revealed who dies in that fantasy drama (it totally killed my hype to finish it). But the other side argues that spoilers can make you enjoy the journey more, knowing the end point. I mean, some people even look up spoilers on purpose! It's a real split in my office. So, where do you stand on this spoiler debate? Is it rude to drop hints, or are we too sensitive?

Absolutely! Cole_patel41 has a point. My friend spilled the ending of that detective series finale last month. I still binged the whole thing in one weekend. The suspense was gone, but I focused on the clues and characters more. It changed how I watched, not ruined it. Spoiler panic is overrated if you ask me.

Yeah "totally killed my hype" seems a bit much for a tv show.
