That LinkedIn automation tool my colleague swore by ended up getting my account flagged
Dave from sales kept pushing this scraper tool that auto-sends connection requests, said he got 200 leads a month with it. I tried it for 3 days and LinkedIn restricted my account for 7 days. Anyone else had a tool backfire like that?

...and here I was thinking LinkedIn was just being picky about my profile photo being too casual. I had a similar thing happen years ago with a tool that was supposed to schedule posts automatically. Turned out it was posting the same thing at the exact same time every day, and LinkedIn flagged it as spam. Took me two weeks to get my account back to normal. The funny thing is, I wasn't even trying to get leads, I just wanted to save time on posting. Sometimes these shortcuts just aren't worth the hassle.

yo wait, did that tool literally scrape people? yeah I fell for one of those "growth hack" tools once, it was supposed to auto-endorse everyone in my network and got me a 30 day ban. such a pain. totally feel you on the regret man, those shortcuts backfire hard.
