Why does nobody talk about how easy it is to mix up cannon plug pins

I spent about a year at a shop in Tucson cursing these intermittent faults that would pop up on the bench. Turns out I was using the wrong pin crimp tool for D-sub connectors the whole time. An old timer from another hangar walked by, saw me struggle, and pointed out my crimper wasn't seating the pins properly. Anyone else realize they'd been using the wrong tool for months before someone corrected them?

Yeah @sandragonzalez that Totally happened to me last weekend - I was about to buy a new gadget and realized the old one in my closet does exactly what I needed. Funny how we Overlook stuff right in front of us.
