Spent $60 on a used spectrum analyzer and it saved me 4 hours today

Found a beat-up HP 8590L at a pawn shop near the airport for $60. Chased a ghost in a King Air 350 comm antenna line and the analyzer found a bad connector in 10 minutes. Anyone else find killer deals on test gear at weird places?

Read something the other day about guys finding Fluke meters at garage sales for pocket change. Guess the pawn shop near the airport knows what some gear is worth but not all of it. Sixty bucks for a workable analyzer is a steal, I'd grab another if I saw one.

60 dollars is still 60 dollars though... I mean sure it worked out this time but how often does that really happen? @robert_rodriguez66 I've seen guys at the flea market with gear that looks beat but they act like it's gold.
