Old timer in Wichita showed me a better way to trace a bad ground loop

I spent almost a whole day chasing a ground loop in a King Air last month, swapping LRUs and checking pins. An old mechanic I worked with back in the 90s told me to just use a clamp meter on the bonding strap instead of guessing - found the problem in 10 minutes. Has anyone else tried that route or still rely on the ohm meter first?

Oh man, that's a great trick! I started doing the same thing after an old timer showed me on a Cessna 172 and it saved my butt on a Baron last year.

Seriously? I've found that trick backfires more often than it helps, especially in anything with more weight and speed than a 172.
