Swapped my old impact wrench for a cordless one last month
I used a pneumatic Snap-on for ten years, figured air was the only way to go. Grabbed a Milwaukee M18 high torque for a job pulling axle nuts on a Ram 3500. Took me half the time and I didn't have to drag a hose around. Anyone else made the switch and not looked back?

Only pulled the air hose out for the die grinder? That's literally me now too. Battery tech really did change the game.

Well I'll be. I used to swear by my air tools too. Had a big Ingersoll Rand that I thought was the only thing that could handle heavy work. Then my son talked me into trying his DeWalt cordless on a rusty suspension bolt and I was honestly shocked. It broke it free easier than my pneumatic ever did. Now I've got a couple Milwaukee cordless impacts and I only pull the air hose out for the die grinder these days. Battery tech has come a long way.

You're spot on about battery tech! Same thing happened to me with my old Snap-on air impact, my buddy's M18 Fuel twisted off a lug nut that had me fighting with a breaker bar for 20 minutes.
