Snap-on ratchet vs. Harbor Freight one really showed me the difference

I used to think spending $150 on a Snap-on ratchet was a waste. Last month I bought a $15 Pittsburgh one from Harbor Freight for a quick job on a Ford F-150. After using it for 3 days straight, the ratchet mechanism started skipping and slipping on the bolts. I grabbed my buddy's Snap-on from 10 years ago that he uses every day and it still clicks perfect. That $15 tool almost cost me an extra hour of work on a transmission pan. Has anyone else dealt with cheap tools wearing out way faster than you expected?

Jammed my thumb with a Pittsburgh ratchet and honestly almost deserved it for being cheap.
