That $200 dust extraction system was a total waste for my shop
I spent $200 on a cheap wall-mount dust extractor from Amazon last month, thinking it would keep my booth clean during sanding. But it barely pulled any air, and I ended up with dust all over my fresh primer job. Had to stop work and borrow my buddy's shop vac just to finish the day. Anyone else get burned by these budget dust collectors? What actually works?

Those cheap wall mount units are just fans with a filter strapped on. They don't have the static pressure to pull through a hose longer than a few feet. You need something with a real impeller and at least 1 micron filter bag to catch the fine dust from sanding primer.

Wait you actually got fine dust from primer through the filter? @kai_brown23 called that one though.
