Blew $400 on a heated visor insert that fogged up worse than my old $20 fog-destroyer cloth.
Bought the thing off a buddy's recommendation up in Traverse City last winter, but after 3 rides I ripped it out and went back to wiping my shield with dish soap like a hillbilly - anyone else find those electric visors to be a total waste or did I just get a dud?

Oh man, the "fog-destroyer cloth" part got me. I tried one of those heated visors too and it was a nightmare. Total waste of cash. I think the foam seal on mine let in moisture from the sides and it just made everything worse. That old dish soap trick is honestly more reliable than half the fancy stuff out there. I'm back to wiping with a drop of Dawn before every ride too, works better than anything.

Had a buddy swear by his heated visor till it shorted out mid-ride and fogged solid.
