Pro tip: I spent 6 months stacking my astrophotography frames wrong

I was stacking all my light frames the wrong way in DeepSkyStacker for half a year because I never read the manual past page 3. A guy on Cloudy Nights asked why my M42 looked like a blurry cotton ball and that's when it clicked.
