Showerthought: I keep seeing folks ask the same basic questions over and over here.

Back when this community started, you'd get wild, open ended stuff. Now it's like 70% 'how do I fix my phone screen' or 'what's the best pizza place in Chicago'. The point was to ask anything, not just get quick fixes. Am I the only one who misses the weird questions?

Is it really a problem if people get help with practical things? Communities change over time, and maybe simple questions just mean more new folks are joining. It's okay for a place to be useful in different ways.
