Overcame my fear of driving on the interstate after 8 years last Tuesday

Took I-75 through Atlanta during rush hour to get to a dentist appointment and realized my anxiety was entirely in my head. Has anyone else avoided a basic thing forever only to find out it's not that bad?

Holy crap, I-75 through Atlanta during rush hour? That's like driving through a live video game on hard mode. I've lived here my whole life and I still take side streets just to avoid that stretch. You went from zero to nuclear chaos for a dentist appointment. That's either incredibly brave or slightly insane and I mean that as a compliment.

I don't get why people act like Atlanta traffic is some kind of death wish. Like, yeah it's busy, but it's just cars going 30 mph on average. You can literally fall asleep and still survive.

Dude seriously! I had to drive through downtown Atlanta for a checkup last month and legit felt like I was in a Mad Max movie for no reason.
