Just saw that 60% of Amarillo small businesses don't have a proper website
I was looking at the Chamber of Commerce data from last month and that number blew my mind. I get that some folks rely on word of mouth, but aren't we losing out on customers under 40 who search online first? Has anyone else looked into this and found a cheap way to fix it?

I looked into this for my buddy's HVAC shop in Canyon last year. Google My Business is free and catches way more local traffic than a full website if you're on a budget. SquareSpace has a basic plan for like 16 bucks a month that includes a domain and mobile layout, so you're under 200 bucks a year total. Really just a one page site with your address, hours, phone number, and maybe 3 photos is enough for most of these businesses to stop losing that under 40 crowd. The bigger problem I saw was folks not even having their Google profile claimed, which is literally zero dollars and takes 15 minutes on a phone.

SquareSpace is actually 23 bucks a month now for the basic business plan, not 16. They bumped it up last fall. Still under 300 a year though, which is pretty cheap for what you get.
