Rant: My friend told me my 'good morning' text was too much

So last Thursday, I texted my friend a simple 'good morning, hope you have a great day!' She replied hours later saying it felt 'intense' and that normal people don't do that. We were just at the coffee shop on Elm Street the day before, talking like always. Now I keep replaying that chat, wondering if I mess up other small talks too. Has anyone else been told a basic friendly thing was weird?
