Watching my kid's school science fair made me see AI differently
They had a project where an AI model sorted different types of leaves just from phone pictures. It wasn't some big lab thing, just a free tool and a Raspberry Pi. Made me realize how much this tech is already part of normal life, not just future stuff. Anyone else seen AI pop up in a totally unexpected place like that?

Oh totally! My grocery store's self-checkout uses it now to spot when you put something in the bagging area wrong (and it's weirdly good at it). It's just everywhere all of a sudden.

Honestly that bagging area thing is usually just weight sensors, not really AI. Wendy_ross71 is right though, it's still wild how much tech is just in normal stuff now.
