Saw a demo at SXSW where they used AI to generate code from hand-drawn wireframes on a napkin

Watched this team scan a napkin sketch into their tool and it built a functional web app in under 2 minutes. Has anyone else seen AI tools that can bridge physical brainstorming and actual development this fast?

You said "built a functional web app" but that's a stretch. Most of these tools just generate a one-page frontend with placeholder data, not a real app with a backend. Still cool for prototyping, just don't expect it to replace actual development work yet.

Six napkin demos I've seen at other conferences all crapped out when you tried to do anything past the first page. Was this one actually handling user logins or database stuff on the backend, or did it just spit out a pretty frontend that looks done until you click something? I'm curious if they showed anyone trying to break it with real inputs or if it was a tightly controlled stage demo.
