AI writing assistants - I was totally wrong about them until last Tuesday

I used to think AI writing tools were just for lazy students or people who wanted to sound smart without doing the work. Then my boss handed me a 30-page report to summarize by noon (talk about a panic moment). I gave Claude a try just to get a rough draft, and honestly, the structure it spit out was actually better than what I would have written in double the time. What tipped me off was seeing how it caught a pattern in the data I had completely missed - something about seasonal trends in our Texas stores vs the California ones. Now I use it to brainstorm outlines and catch my blind spots, but I still write the final version myself. Has anyone else had that moment where AI surprised you by being actually useful for something you thought you were good at?

Tbh that data pattern thing would have sold me too. Ngl it's wild when the robot catches stuff you missed.

Wait, isn't it more like the robot found a pattern you missed?
