Funny thing is maybe these glitches are always happening. Our brains just filter them out when we're on autopilot. When you're stressed and moving too fast, maybe you briefly see the world without that filter. Like suddenly noticing where your keys actually are after looking everywhere, or hearing someone call your name when they didn't. That moment of wrongness makes the whole routine crack.
