I used to think comic book fans were all about the big two, but a trip to a small shop in Toledo changed that.

PSA: I was reading an old drafting standards book from the 80s and found out they used to recommend a 0.25mm line weight for hidden lines.

Check the date on that book, might be older than your CAD software. Some of those old rules just made things easier to read on paper.

Spent 4 hours yesterday trying to get a post level on a slope in Tacoma. The ground was pure glacial till.

That's just how everything feels lately, like building on shifting ground.

Overheard two guys at the coffee shop absolutely trashing the 'Game of Thrones' ending again

Oh man, that "Bran? Really?" line is exactly how I felt! I was yelling at my TV. It totally ruined re-watches for me because now I know all these cool early scenes and hints lead to basically nothing. Why should I care about the White Walker mystery when the payoff is that bad? It makes the whole journey feel pointless. I haven't been able to watch a single episode since the finale aired.
