inSkeptical about the water cure for slabs until a finisher in Dallas cut 2 hours off his day
You spraying it down or just wetting the surface with a hose? On hot days I soak it a bit and let it sit till the sheen goes dull, then float. Cutting 2 hours off a 900 sq ft pour ain't slow, that's just how much easier the cream works when the slab ain't sucking the water out of your mix.

inThe client who taught me the towel trick in Reno, 2011
Ha, Doris was right! Had a client tell me the same about scrunching, not wringing.

inUpdate: the GC on my Des Moines job let the tile guy grout over an expansion joint and now 40 feet of floor is tenting
Man, I got my GC to pay by sending him the tile maker's install spec showing joints need to stay open.

inI stood in line at a Des Moines recycling center in 2019 and watched a guy pull 40 pounds of pizza boxes out of the bins
My aunt worked at a transfer station years ago and she told me the same thing about greasy cardboard ruining whole batches of recycling. Sort of wild how one guy doing his job can teach you more than a whole documentary. Keeping the greasy stuff separate is such a small habit but it clearly adds up.
