Quit buying comics just for the cover art

Totally! @sage_schmidt6 has a great point there. I've grabbed so many books just because the cover looked amazing, and then gotten completely sucked in by the story inside. The art is what makes me pick it up off the shelf, but the writing is what makes me come back for the next issue. It happens to me all the time, and it's the best way to find new series I end up loving.

Vent: I kept quiet after finding a dropped twenty in the grocery line

Totally get that weird feeling. Same thing happened at a gas station last month with a ten dollar bill. Stared at it for a second while the person drove off, then just pocketed it. Bought a cheap lunch with it later, but kept thinking about it all day. It's funny how those little moments stick with you and make you wonder.

Picked up in Istanbul: Simit bread with a slice of feta and honey... sounds odd but it just works.

Ever think some food pairings just shouldn't work? I always kept sweet and salty totally separate. But I tried this exact combo from a street cart last year and it flipped a switch in my brain. The crunch from the simit, the creamy sharp feta, and that sweet honey drizzle all crash together into something perfect. Totally changed how I put flavors together now.

Coworkers always push carbon offsets but ignore our plastic cup mountain

That "plastic cup mountain" sounds a bit dramatic. It's just some cups, not like it's an actual crisis.

A concrete dinosaur statue in Arizona was hilariously lumpy

Yeah, that handmade feel can have its charm for sure. I have to admit it makes me think of my first few concrete pours back when I was learning. Let's just say if that dinosaur crew called it a day early, I definitely called it a day way too late on some projects, trying to fix a bad finish and making it lumpier. There's a fine line between rustic character and just a genuine mess, and I've been on both sides of it. That oatmeal belly on the T-Rex is probably a story those concrete guys still laugh about.
