inA chat with an old timer on the Columbia River changed how I set my ladder.
We were dredging in a sandy stretch of the Missouri and kept losing suction. My foreman told me to flatten the ladder out until it was almost dragging. I thought we'd plug the pump for sure, but it ran cleaner than ever. That shallow angle just lets the material roll in instead of fighting the sand.

inMy local library's computer class is filling up, and it's cool to see
Oh totally! My aunt went to one and called me after, so proud she finally learned how to delete old emails to free up space. She thought her computer was just "full" forever. People really just need someone to show them the simple stuff, like how to update software without getting scared. It's a lifesaver for them.

inGot called for a simple cleaning in a 1920s house and found a whole brick stuck sideways in the flue.
My uncle's 1940s cottage had a squirrel nest built entirely of chewed-up plastic grocery bags. It looked like some weird modern art installation up there. Honestly, a sideways brick sounds like a prank from a very bored mason a hundred years ago. At least it didn't smell like mummified raccoon, that's a small win.
