Stopped watching post-credits scenes on streaming, realized I was missing half the fun

I used to skip credits on Netflix to save time, but after going back to catch them on a Marvel movie, I saw a full extra scene I'd missed. Comparing my two approaches - skipping vs sticking around - the payoff was way better when I just waited through the credits. Anybody else have a movie where the post-credits scene totally changed your take on the ending?

The real hidden gem for post-credits scenes is comedies from the 2000s. Anchorman had a whole alternate ending during the credits with Ron Burgundy getting fired and it totally changed how I saw his character arc. Also some of those early Judd Apatow movies had bloopers that felt like a second ending. Made me realize skipping credits is like eating the main course but leaving the dessert.

You know, @jesse290, you might be onto something here. I used to be one of those people who'd bolt the second the credits started, I always figured the movie was over and I had places to be. But you're right about those Apatow bloopers, like in The 40 Year Old Virgin where the whole cast is just cracking up during the warehouse scene, it turns the whole thing into a fun hangout instead of just a story. Makes me feel like I've been missing out on some good laughs all these years.
