After a late-night snack disaster, I swear by hot sauce on popcorn.

The spice kicks it up without making it soggy.

Yeah the "without making it soggy" part is so true. I started doing this during movie nights a while back, just drizzling some sriracha right on there. It totally changes the game compared to butter, which can make everything a wet mess after like ten minutes. The popcorn stays crunchy and you get that nice heat build up with each handful. Honestly it's my go - in way now, I don't even buy the powdered cheese stuff anymore.

Wait, are we really having a deep chat about popcorn toppings? I guess @thomas584 is onto something with the hot sauce shake, but it's just popcorn, man.

Totally get that about the butter making a mess. I ruined a good movie night once by dumping too much melted butter on the popcorn, it was like eating wet cardboard halfway through. Switched to tossing the popcorn in a bowl with a few dashes of Cholula and shaking it up, the flavor sticks way better than you'd think. That vinegar kick from some hot sauces cuts through the salt perfectly. Now the popcorn stays dry and crispy right down to the last few kernels at the bottom of the bowl.
