Rant: The guy at the open house who kept calling the laundry closet a 'utility nook'
I was checking out a condo in Springfield last weekend, a real fixer-upper priced at $285k. The place was packed, and I got stuck in a group following this one super enthusiastic older guy who was not the realtor. He zeroed in on the tiny laundry closet, which was just a stacked washer/dryer behind a bifold door. He kept pointing at it, telling his wife, 'Honey, look at this charming utility nook! Think of the possibilities!' He said 'utility nook' four separate times, like it was a selling feature and not just a closet. I finally just looked at him and said, 'Sir, that's where you put the detergent.' He got real quiet. Has anyone else run into someone giving a regular room a totally ridiculous, fancy name during a viewing?

Had a guy call a broom closet a "bespoke storage gallery" once.

I had a client who insisted on calling his attic a "heritage loft space." I just wrote it on the work order like that and moved on.

Saw a listing once that called a weird little wall indent a "curated display alcove." It was literally just drywall where they couldn't fit a full cabinet. People get so creative when they're trying to sell a bad layout.
