Bathroom lock jammed during my first house party

I invited friends over to see my new home. One got stuck in the bathroom because the lock is old. How do you deal with sudden repair needs as a new homeowner?

Worst possible time" is basically the home's way of saying it missed you while you were at work.

Yeah the "jiggling" part is key. My version of jiggling usually ends with me calling a pro after making it way worse.
