Bathroom lock jammed during my first house party

I invited friends over to see my new home. One got stuck in the bathroom because the lock is old. How do you deal with sudden repair needs as a new homeowner?

Yeah the "jiggling" part is key. My version of jiggling usually ends with me calling a pro after making it way worse.
