Hot take: I just hit 100 finished TV series and the endings are getting WORSE

I logged my 100th completed show last night, and looking back, maybe 70 of those finales were just BAD. The last one was 'The 100', and that final season felt like a totally different, worse show. It's not just me being picky, the writing genuinely seems rushed and unplanned now. Has anyone else tracked their finished shows and noticed this downhill slide in quality?

Feel the pain, my last finished show was so bad it made me question my own taste. Hitting 100 shows probably broke my brain like @tarac16 said, now I can't unsee the lazy writing. My watchlist is just a graveyard of shows that started strong and face-planted in the final season. At this point a good ending feels like a miracle, not the standard.

a graveyard of shows that started strong and face-planted" - that's exactly it. But here's what I keep coming back to: are the endings actually getting worse, or are we just getting older and more cynical? I started watching TV in my early 20s and thought everything was gold. Now I'm in my late 30s and I can spot the filler episodes from a mile away. What's the last show you saw that actually stuck the landing for you? Because I'm struggling to name one from the past five years that didn't make me want to throw something at the screen.

Maybe we're just better at spotting the flaws after a hundred shows.
