When my coworker brought his dog to the job site
The dog kept digging up our freshly set post holes. We had to redo half a day's work, but the pup looked so proud we couldn't stay mad. Now we have a rule: no pets on site unless they're on a leash.

Half a day's work to redo some post holes? Seems like maybe the dirt was just loose to begin with. That story from rubywalker about the garden dog fits, it's usually more about the dog having a good time than causing real trouble.
