Noticed a surge in bold patterns at the downtown farmer's market

Last weekend at the downtown farmer's market, I couldn't help but notice everyone was wearing really bright and bold patterns. It inspired me to sketch some designs for a new line, but I'm worried about going overboard. How do you guys balance loud prints with clean cuts in your work?
