Found a weird hack for fabric draping using binder clips
I was trying to drape this slippery satin for a prom dress design and it kept sliding off my mannequin. Pins were useless, they just tore the fabric. Then I grabbed a pack of medium binder clips from my desk and clipped the fabric to the mannequin's edges. Worked like a charm and took maybe 10 seconds per panel. Has anyone else used office supplies for sewing in a pinch?

Hated binder clips for sewing until I tried this, total game changer.

Oh come on... I really don't get the hype with binder clips for sewing. I tried them once and they pulled my fabric all weird, left crease lines I couldn't iron out. Plus they keep falling off when you move the fabric around, especially with thicker stuff like denim or canvas. Pins just hold everything in place better and don't leave those dents that ruin the look of your finished project.
