Tried a new glue-on shoe for a navicular case and the whole thing came off in 48 hours

I used the Equi-Thane adhesive kit on a warm day in Boise, following the prep steps to the letter. The horse was sound when it left, but the owner called saying the shoe was in the field two days later. Has anyone had this happen with a specific glue, or was it just the heat?

Man, that's rough. But here's a thing I wonder, did the horse stand on a perfectly clean surface the whole time it set? Even a little dust or shavings blowing onto that glue before it fully cures can wreck the bond. A warm day in Boise could mean a breeze, right? Maybe the prep was perfect, but the environment after the horse walked away wasn't.

Yeah, that's a good point. I mean, I had a similar thing happen with some outdoor adhesive last summer, just a little dust in the air totally messed it up. Maybe it's just me but that stuff is so picky.
