Had a mare owner in Kentucky talk me out of a proper trim last Tuesday

She showed up with a horse that was clearly sore on the front feet. I pointed out the long toes and she said quote "just take a little off, my last farrier ruined her." I spent 20 minutes explaining why a full trim was needed. She refused and I wound up doing a half job just to get paid. Has anyone else had a client override your professional judgment like that?

A little toe isn't going to cripple the horse overnight, and sometimes you just have to pick your battles if you want to keep the client. Sounds like you did what you had to do.

Used to judge that call but you're RIGHT, sometimes you gotta keep the client happy.
