Showerthought: I finally picked between a facial steamer and a hot towel cabinet for my small space

My old steamer broke last month, and I had to choose between a new $200 one or a compact hot towel cabinet for about the same price. I went with the cabinet, and it's been way better for my lymphatic drainage treatments... the towels hold heat longer. Has anyone else switched from a steamer to something else for their services?

Honestly... I just use a washcloth I run under hot tap water for my face. It costs nothing and does the same thing. The whole two hundred dollar cabinet setup seems like a lot for something a towel from your linen closet can do.

Yeah, that "costs nothing" part from @logan632 is the real key. It cuts through all the noise. The whole beauty industry is built on convincing people they need special stuff for basic hygiene. A clean cloth and water gets the job done for most people. Spending a ton of money just creates more steps and more clutter in your life. It's a simple fix that works, and they hate that because it doesn't make them any money.

My aunt had this whole shelf of fancy creams and toners. One day her sink clogged and she just used a warm washcloth for a week. She said her skin actually looked better, which really annoyed her after all that spending.
