Lactic acid peels vs glycolic for acne scarring - which way do you go?

I've been doing 30% glycolic peels on my breakout clients for years, but a mentor in Austin swears lactic is gentler and gets deeper results over time. Has anyone switched from one to the other and noticed a real difference in healing time or final texture?

That 30% glycolic is strong stuff, I've seen it cause some nasty PIH on darker skin types if you're not careful. The lactic peel operates at a higher pH so it's way less aggressive on the barrier, but I'm wondering about that depth vs gentleness trade off. Did your Austin mentor give you a specific percentage range where they saw the scar results kick in, like around 40-50%?

What percentage did they actually say though? I've heard 50% lactic is where you start seeing real scar improvement without trashing the skin. Just gotta match the pH right or you're asking for trouble.
