Hit 50 facials in one week last month and my hands still ache
I don't even know how it happened. Three double bookings plus some walk ins. By Friday I couldn't grip my esthetician spoon right. Had to cancel my Saturday morning client which sucked because she tips good. Is this normal for other solo estheticians or am I just pushing too hard?

Yeah that repetitive gripping motion will wreck your hands if you're not careful. Try switching to a lighter touch with your spoon and doing hand stretches between every client even if it feels dumb. I had the same problem until I started using a massage gun on my forearms at night and now I can handle those packed days way better.

Got a buddy who used to work double shifts at a diner and his thumb started locking up on him. He finally saw a hand specialist who told him to switch to a smaller spoon and stop gripping so hard before meals. I mentioned what you said about the massage gun @michaeljones and he tried it on his forearm at night, said it made a huge difference in just a week. Now he keeps one in his car and uses it during breaks. That lighter touch advice is legit, takes some practice but saves your hands in the long run.
